Double weighted...

Postby cobra2411 » Sun Aug 28, 2022 2:38 pm

Decided to add a second set of weights for more traction and stability.

Do these weight about 150 lbs each? If so I'm a lot stronger than I give myself credit for because at one point I lifted both to move them. One hanging from each hand. I couldn't lift them up, but I squatted down grabbed them and stood up.

Also, I'm using 2 3" long bolts and 2 6.5" long bolts. I think that's what the manual says but I didn't have it handy when I put them on.

Yes rear weights are 150 lb ea. Parts manual specified two short bolts at 3” long and two long bolts at 6 1/4”. May be easier to find 6 1/2”.

Yeah, I could only find 6 and 6.5" carriage bolts.

Thanks for the confirmation.

With the weight like that if you put chains on the tires the rubber tensioners cut and fail. I had to use a chain & spring tensioners with the chains.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
