Re: NAPA 1153
The the last one I bought was when Tractor Supply was discontinuing the Fram line a couple years back. I bought six or seven for under a dollar each. I stopped at every TSC i passed.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I'm going to verify this statement later but, I was told the CASE/IH CNH filter does not include the filter cap gasket.

But I shipped it free to the store and think it was $9. Took a few days but I still haven't used it yet. I haven't looked but I suspect with Bidenflation it to be a dollar or two more now.
Just bought another 2 filters from Tractor Supply at the beginning of the month; $9.99 ea with free shipping to the store. Made in the USA by Baldwin.

Pretty convenient if you have a TSC around you.

So far several makers have popped up....Baldwin, Tisco and Wix. Should these all be considered equal quality? I'm leaning towards Wix, but sounds like it really doesn't matter. Appreciate all the suggestions.

If tsc filters are made by Baldwin, then looks like that means they make the tisco filter, also. Tsc sells the tisco filter, but supposedly made by Baldwin. Wouldn’t surprise me if there is only one manufacturer

Make sure it comes with a new gasket.

Of the 4 that I've ordered/received from TSC, they were all said to be Tisco brand on the website, but labeling on the actual filter was Baldwin, made in the USA. They all have included a gasket for the oil filter cap.

Re: NAPA 1153
The mom and pop auto parts store in town sells Baldwin. They seem to be good filters, I use them around the farm. Our tractor supply always seems to be out of the Cub filters, so I buy them at the auto part store. Last time I went in he found a bunch of Hastings filters to fit that he sold cheap as they have been discontinued. I am told Hastings and Baldwin were made in the same factory

Re: NAPA 1153
Any issues with the current TSC-Tisco filters with regards to the two different size holes?

Baldwin has always been known as a quality filter. They are made about 40 miles west of me in Kearney, Nebraska.

All this talk of the Wix. Has anyone used one recently, is the center hole still too small for the bolt as I was reading about the last few years? Did they correct that issue?

Installed a Wix on the Cub a couple weeks ago with no issues. $10.59 from Steiner with gasket.
If it’s not broken continue tinkering with it and it will be.

Re: NAPA 1153
Just be warned that the cheap prices will only last until the old stock is used up. When these suppliers have to restock Cub filters, the price will go up.
I'm not really sure $20 for a filter is something to get too worked up about. It's not like you're changing the oil every 3 months regardless of usage/mileage like they used to recommend back in the 1960's and 1970's. Unless you are...
