First load of wood with the cub

Postby Workinprogress » Tue Dec 27, 2022 5:11 pm

Was a long weekend. High winds on Friday took down multiple trees and was without power for 3 days.

Today I took down one of the broken tree and the cub hauled my first load of firewood. More trees to clean up so the cub has more work ahead!

I wonder how they perform over rough bumpy terrain. Seems like you'd be riding the clutch.

I would assume that over rough ground you'd put it in low gear at low idle and it shoud just crawl along.

I never ride the clutch. Just put it in 1st and idle it down. The tractor just crawls along. Actually a pretty relaxing drive! Honestly it doesn’t even notice that it is hauling a trailer.
