Question on where to get yellow and white cub parts for my 1975 cub.

I just got this I presume 1975 cub (by engine date code, the serial tag is gone).

I want to get a correct battery box for it with a lid as the current one is missing a top and front. Also I’m considering getting new light housings as the current ones don’t quite fit the led lights I want to retrofit in. While I could dremel out the inside of the housing I imagine a new one would fit better since it’s probably less dented up.

Am I going to have to buy red and repaint or or is there a source out there for yellow and white parts?

Likely have to repaint, unless you find a used part with good paint.

TM Tractor has several versions. I think they would all be either red or black though. As Tim stated, fit is unknown.

You do not need to buy a whole new battery box to get the front and lid. You can get new replacements from the business below, but you will have to paint them.

Unique Design Workshop

You can also post a wanted ad in The Vine for all the parts you need in used condition. You will likely have to repaint those, also. A second option would be to phone JP Tractor Parts for used parts. You’ll find a link for them at the bottom of this page.

Painting is fine by me. The yellow is federal yellow? What’s the off white color?

The closest off-the-shelf available today is IH 935 white.

Hi,
Below are listings at TM Tractor for IH yellow, and white paint in spray cans. You can look at the pics.
They have red and silver too.
You can probably buy it at the Case IH dealer in your area.

If you want yellow battery box parts, and white light parts, J P Tractor Salvage might have some used ones, you could ask them. :)

Those headlight buckets aren't THAT dented that new ones would make much of a difference in fitment.

Did you get PAR36 form factor LED lights?

Glen posted links for the paint on TM tractor. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? Does it hold up well and match well?

Hi,
The paint TM Tractor sells is the Case IH paint, it says at their listings.
People on here have used that brand and say it lasts well.
The colors change when on a tractor for a long time. If you want to match paint that has been on a tractor for a long time, new paint will look new, old paint doesn't.
You can look at the caps on the spray cans in the TM Tractor listings and see about what it looks like.
The colors may not be exact online. You could go to a Case IH dealer and look at the caps on the spray cans if you want.
The dealers have quart cans too, the last I know of.
