Front Grader Blade

Postby ajhbike » Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:15 pm

I was watching an Our Pass Thyme video and I believe Tom was moving the blade from front to mid mount. He had the 1" pin mount pointed toward the front horizontally and I thought "that is weird". Then I thought about it and it seems to be more logical mounting that way with the horizontal force backwards...I say "seems". Does anyway else mount it that way?

I'm not sure what you are asking about. But if I am on the right question, that was a change between the earliest version of the blade and the first version of the Cub-54.

I tried to watch that video but had to skip forward a few times. It was painful to watch.

Here's the video and a screenshot. The Cub-54A on my '58 Cub LoBoy has the bracket oriented that way, but it hangs straight down on the Cub-54 on my '48 Cub. So I suppose that's a difference between the 54 and the 54A. A quick check of TM tractor's implement photos confirms this.

huh...Interesting. I checked out Ron's site and I didn't see any pics of it in the horizontal position...I will research further. Thanks

Hi,
Below is the Cub 54 Blade owner's manual, it shows the blade under the middle of the Cub on page 7.
You don't use the manual lift shown in the manual if the Cub has Touch Control. :)
