Re: Belly mower
appears to be a Danco/IH C2 Mower, 42 " cut brush hog type, missing the pto drive pulley in the pics, decent mower, if it has the clutch type main drive pulley, make sure that works correctly, cross pieces in the middle of the deck look to be added on

Re: Belly mower
I have a C2 which Tim said it looks to be that family. The very nice all-purpose mower for lawns and very high thick stuff. Much more versatile than a finish mower.
The only things I do not like are: the overrun clutch is loud when it working. Much louder than the woods 42.
Also, the parts while still available are expensive. I had to replace the blades. The PO did a very poor job sharpening them and they were ground to different sizes and ended up too out of balance to save. I think they were $165 each and no one had an aftermarket blade that I could find.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Thanks for the advice. The blades are in good shape, the gearbox seems alright, it did work a long time ago before ztr 72 inch entered the picture.

Re: Belly mower
I got one earlier this year, I really like it I have the C-3 Finish type mower on the Lo-Boy for the lawn at my folks place and I put this one on the old Cub to keep the pasture under control since we don't have livestock any more. It's also really handy when we have too much rain and the lawn gets away from me because it can cut tall grass in second gear that the Lo-Boy struggles with in first. TJ
