Mystery O-ring

Postby cub67 » Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:15 pm

I sure hope someone can help me. I am rebuilding my tc unit. I have the newer block, 360713 R92. I ordered a rebuild kit from TM and received it. I carefully pulled out all of the components from the block, cleaned and organized them in bins. I laid all of the o-rings out and arranged them by rough size. My process was to pick a "valve" and peel the o-rings off and replace them as I assembled the valve and reinstall into the block. All said and done I was pleased with the rebuild but there is one o-ring left in a CNH sealed bag with part number 70935118 on it. I have no idea where this goes. I've been back through the parts lists and can not find that part number anywhere. There are 2 small blue o-rings that I assume are the ones that go in the pump to seal off the manifold tubes. If anyone can help I would much appreciate it!

I believe those two BLUE o rings go to the Hydraulic Pump/Manifold Lines…..I just rebuilt a Hydraulic pump and the kit had those to “rouge” blue o rings that did not have a sealed bag with a part number on them,

Just a guess but I think I’m certain since the rings fit perfect in the pump grooves.

I can't find that # but wonder if it's the shaft seal o-ring for the pump.

A google search using the part number shows multiple applications for the part. Messicks lists 18. You might just have a spare.

Yeah I couldn't find much info on the web either. It seems to be about 1/2" id and about 3/32" cross section. I sent an email to TM asking for help to but have not gotten a response. I would really like to continue on my restore of this tractor but the tc needs to go in next so I can get the carb and associated parts on that side completed.

Here is a pic of the o-ring. Also, a pic of my work so far. Started this 10 years ago but life and money got in its way. She should be ready in the spring after I get done with all of the hood body work.

I recently rebuilt an older block (354383R1). I used a kit from TM Tractor and had an unused O-Ring that was a similar size (7/16” ID x 5/8” OD x 3/32” thick) as yours. This O-Ring is supposed to go on the connecting rod yoke, but is not necessary on older units with a tapered shaft and no O-Ring groove.

This may not apply to your older block but thought you might find it helpful.
