Check alignment of sprockets and correct that first. Also if the chains are worn they can slip sideways and jam at where the slide out and break the links. New chain is fairly inexpensive.

One of the sprockets is out of line by a lot. I'm going to tweak the mounting bracket to get it to line up better.

Some of the shafts have multiple holes for pinning the sprockets at different alignments. This is so they can be set up for different machine configurations. Are you sure everything is assembled properly?

I am not sure, never had any experience with one. The mounting bracket that the seeder is mounted to does look a little bent. I did see how you can mount the sprockets in different holes.

If you aren't sure on proper set-up, thre are several planter/fertilizer Owner's Manuals in the PDF manuals reached through the quick links. Find one that matches or is similar to yours for guidance.

I wouldn’t delve into it too deeply in the beginning on seed spacing and distribution rates and so on. Unless you want a headache.

Tractor Supply, Agrisupply and like places sell it. The catch is it comes in sections ten feet long at about $60 or more per section.
