Cable Color Codes??
I bought a 7 wire harness from Case IH for 49-1. 5 wires go back to the dash panel. They are, green, purple, gray, black, and brown. The other end of the purple splits and goes to the head lights. The brown wire goes to the starter and is connected to the ammeter. The black wire is (I assume) for the mag ground switch. That leaves the green and the gray. I know, one will go from the bat. on the regulator to the other side of the ammeter. And one will go from the F term on the generater to the resistor on the switch. I think the green would go to the ammeter but I'm not sure. It really doesn't matter but...If anyone knows for sure it would be a help.

Donny, here is the code from the manual.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Hey Donny,
I was taught in the first training school I went to, "when all else fails,
READ the instructions/Practice".
I am sorry, just had to come back with that one. Why run backwards ye
varmint. Bet you know what that is, don't ya? Or Bonnie Brown ran over
yonder green valley while Gaylord slept.
