Re: Fast Hitch spreader for rocksalt
As far as I know there was never a "salt spreader". However there were various seeder attachments that could be easily adapted to spread rock salt.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I hope I didn't miss how far your drive or area is to treat. I know seat time is good but walking behind a spreader is better health wise. I know getting on & off my cub is good for me because it keeps me warm & my body free. The idea is good. Mother Nature hands us things we don't like but she will take it away in time.
Be Safe.
Be Safe.

Said the man with a twenty foot driveway!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Every one I've seen runs on 12Vdc, tho. A 12Vdc brush motor, in theory, can run on 6Vdc - with less RPM and torque of course. In practice, the unit might have a brushless DC motor and that will not run on 6Vdc if designed for 12Vdc. Of course, they come set up to house their own battery, so you could go that route also and forget powering from the tractor.

Hey John....you gonna be able to make it to Sneads, FL this year for the Cub Fest? I see you're real close and figured you were prolly going.

John hasn't been on the forum for almost two years. I don't know what happened to him, but I doubt he will see this.
