Hope my 57 turn out this good.

Was the tractor yellow and someone painted it red...then you returned it
to yellow....I was wondering about the red rims on the wheels. what kind of paint was that? what kind of primer did you use.

Good job!

from what i got from the sanding, it started yellow, went red, then we did it up yellow again.

i used rustoleum red/brown primer on the whole thing.

this was done on purpose so i could see where the yellow paint was put on too thin, and could be corrected. and it was readily available :)

anyone can attain results like this, you just have to be patient. as stated, we took all day to do this. we also used gloss paint hardner. the paint on the front of the tractor was probably semi-dry at the time i took the picture

good luck and happy tractoring :)

edit: my avatar shows part of the engine in the primer stage. and thank you for the compliments :D :D :D the tractor was used at an airport for a long while to mow grass, and tow around airplanes.. i thought that was pretty cool.

Great job :D You should be very proud. Can't wait to see the finished project :!:
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

'60_Lo-Boy, The cub looks good, and you are doing a fantastic job, but I would request a favor. There are many people like me that are still in the dark ages as far as intenet connections go, we can only get dialup, no high speed available due to distance or area. Because of that it would be very helpful if you would only include one or two pictures in a post with links to the rest. That way it wouldn't take so long to go back when reading new posts in a thread.
Thanks

Or, post a link to an on-line album so those on dial-up can view them at their leisure.

Hey Dag. Nice job. By the sounds of his name, he's going to be doing a lot of "heavy work" ........

Very Nice Work boys,

I'm wondering, since I will be soon shooting the original industrial orange on my '67 Loboy......

How did you find it applying the paint? I'm assuming you used a spray gun with compressor. Was it much trouble getting around all the nooks and crannies without applying too much paint in some areas and not enough in others?

Mine has been stripped down to metal since last fall, but have had no time at all since then.
