With no Tractor Serial Tag, it could be that casting was replaced at some point. Check the casting date on it.


Looking at the Cub Database, your tractor S/N would fall somewhere in this vicinity - 126XXX

The Head casting date of 10-25-E indicates a 1959, so probably replaced at some point.

Peter, that what I figure for the serial number range also. It’s too bad that I can’t find a database that links the engine serial number to the tractor serial number then I could stamp a new tag ( noted as a duplicate).

That's because the C60 engine was used by IH in other pieces of equipment like balers and power units. They were also sold to Palmer Engine Company to be modified for marine applications.
