Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Raymond,
Just purchased this Cub in March 2018 at farm auction, unknown history. Let me know if you need anymore info.
1948 FCUB
Tractor Serial # 42621
Engine Serial # 43134
Engine Casting # 7-14-R
Engine Block Part# 251341 R1
Touch Control Casting # 10-13-Y
Touch Control Part # 354383 R4
Body Casting # 8-12-R
Body Part # 351686 R1
Long Ear Dash, floating drawbar w/depth control handle on right side of seat, no master control lever on left side, no fast hitch, full (white) cultivators although some of the shoes have been replaced. Touch Control hydraulics work fine, 6v positive ground electric system with starter and lights all working, everything seems original except carb, replaced with newer IH carb (only info I got from auction). Adjustable front end, no belt pulley on PTO, PTO shaft does spin.
Thanks for keeping this database, just getting into Cubs and it's a great resource!

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Raymond,
Looked at an interesting Cub today that is being sold at the feed store where we buy layer pellet. It's on consignment.
S/N 210791 J, making it a 1958. Looks all original with 4-bar grille and later 1958 emblems. Engine S/N 224176.
Has a Mott Flail Mower complete.
Also has a Sims Cab that's pretty cool.
I'll post some pictures once I can resize.
Peter

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Sir,
I have two 1950's Cubs. One is 104681, currently mostly red but white paint can be found all over it, reportedly came out of the South. The other one I'll have to get back to you after I get a chance to get the number, it's 99,???. It also is mostly red but has shiny white paint under the red, it grew up in CA fields, north of Bakersfield.

Hi Ray,
May have another demonstrator serial number 99607. Not on your list though. Does this mean it was not produced?

It means the numbers have never been submitted.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Hello:
I'd like to add my Cub to the database - it is serial # 160499JL. I couldn't find the engine serial #, at least where the manual says it should be. The castings I have found numbers on are X and Y series but I'm not sure about what the various castings are named - is there a reference on that? Finally, is there a more updated pdf of the db than the original 2015 one?
Thanks!

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Hello
I am new to this forum. I see under the Cub data base the Tractor Serial number (91959) is in the data base listed as "Exported to Canada". This is the serial number of my tractor. I have the original manual, The engine serial number is 92478, I was unable to add this into the data base. My question is; is there a record of where in Canada it was sent to? I believe my grandparents bought it in Huntsville, Ontario.

Hello and welcome to the Forum. If the data base you are asking about is the one attached to this post, Raymond Durban will have to add any updates. You might post in the Farmall Cub Forum and get some information about where the tractor was shipped to in Canada. You will get more readers in that forum.
