I painted my fenders with IH 2150. Because I did my painting outdoors I can feel a slight roughness to the finish. If I were to lightly wet sand them with something like 2000 grit would I lose the shine?
Thanks, Larry

Re: Wet sanding
yes you can wet sand and buff it. If you used hardener in the paint you could sand and buff in a couple of days. If you didn't use hardener i would wait 2 weeks. Use 2000 paper and lightly sand it staying away from the edges, then using mid to fine grit compound buff by hand or machine.

Re: Wet sanding
Use some dish soap in the water. It helps keep the sand paper from clogging and lubes everything a little.

I did use hardener, went by the recommended 8:1 ratio. It's been at least five weeks since they were painted so I guess I good to go.
Thanks for all the help.
