I just bought a 1966 IH Cub LoBoy. NEVER owned anything like this, but the prior owner had a plow on the front and log splitter on the back. My wife and I bought our new country home which heats with a woodstove and has a very long driveway so I really needed a log splitter and plow.
after doing research with the serial number 22169 I was able to figure out what is a 1966 Loboy needed some TLC but ran good . Now where the PTO comes out of the back and that sleeve slides up to the main shaft to engage the pulley set up for the log splitter, BROKE! the end of the main shaft coming into the rear end housing broke off now the sleeve cannot slide out far enough to engage the pulley . Do I now have to tear apart the whole transmission or is it possible to add to that shaft with a sleeve of some kind ? PLEASE HELP! I AM SOOOOOOO GREEN WITH THIS.

Since you posted this in the numbered series forum I will assume you have a numbered series Loboy. If that is the case you have a 1971 154 model. If you have the regular Loboy, then you would be correct in saying it is a 1966.
Which one of the Loboys shown below does yours look like?

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

The answer will depend on which cub you have. if it is the numbered cub you'll need to do some unbolting of the sheet metal. Best to open it up and see what happened back there before you order parts, but then try Hamilton Bob's who advertises on this site. They'll get you the right parts and are very patient with new people asking a lot of questions. (maybe even some of us who insisted the clutch parts were wrong and had to be walked through the process slowly).

A ‘66 would be a fcub.
Since Ralph retired his fcub parts business who took over selling used and new pto parts.
I purchased drive shafts, pto assemblies from Ralph before he retired.

I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
