This project ran when I bought it but the previous owner had ran it several years with oil pressure. Never did rattle or knock but no pressure. I found out by researching this forum that one of oil gallery plugs was missing behind the valve cover. I put the plug in and had oil pressure . The years of no oil pressure had ran it's toll, This poor little cub had very little power and once it had pressure it smoked very bad. I found a nice used block and had new valve seats put in as well as boring it 030 and turned the crank 010 and 010. Thanks to all the good helpful advice given I was able to fire it up and mow with it yesterday :{_}: my future plans are to pull the fenders and hood off and finish giving it a fresh coat of paint. I plan on using this cub so I will not be looking for a perfect paint job. I also plan to look for the many implements that are available. So far I have a plow, belly mower, & a blade. Thanks again for all the good tips and advice.
