Re: IH pickup
Ricky , i drove a '76 ford for 15 years ( no a/c ) here in the deep south . it was a great advertisement vehicle for my work . when i drove up to my clients , they just loved it . i told my son-in-law to take is time ( about 8 months ago ) , and if he came across the right one ( a/c , power steering , auto tranny ) grab it . he did great . he has been buying / selling restoring IH scouts mainly . since high school ( 18 or so years ago ) . she will need some work , a/c will be a challenge , but we'll get it
. with this truck i'm out of the travelall game , but he said i can borrow it now and then . coppersmythe.........................PS: you might like this , at one time I had a early '70s yamaha 1100 special , shaft drive , quad carbs . 6000 miles when i bought it . i grew up on dirt bikes , i didnt keep the widowmaker long

Re: IH pickup
I have seen very few for many years. IHC became so good at tractors, they made trucks before the Scouts and that neat IH 1010. A friend of mine used to drive an IHC truck a long way to work every day. This truck was earlier and had a 2-speed rear for the highways. International Horse of a truck. Very heavy duty. The only other time I saw one was at a tractor show/ meet. Yes. It was pulling a trailer of cubs. I took a picture of it.

Re: IH pickup
My brother had a '67 IH truck. I wish I could have bought it from him. He added cedar stake sides to the bed. He sold it or traded it because parts were hard to come by. This was probably 30 years ago or so.

Re: IH pickup

Here is an interesting read on "How Not to Buy" on a 1975 IH truck. A humorous read, indeed.

Re: IH pickup
Good looking truck. In this part of the country that would be a few pieces of metal held together by rust. I used to work with a friend that had a sout of about that vintage. The ignition module was mounted on the fender and it failed so often he kept a spare bolted beside it so if it failed all you had to do was move the plug to the other one and get back on the road.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
