Re: Rudi's passing
I'm sorry I never got to meet Rudi, though I feel a little like I knew him just by his presence here on the forum. My condolences to all his friends and family. Thank you so much for all your efforts here, Rudi!

Re: Rudi's passing
I never met him but he did reply to several of my posts and I enjoyed his comments. I searched his name and lots came back. He was a very smart man and did not have it easy. I was very impressed after reading what I found out there. It was an window into his world and what he lived with. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Rudi's passing
The first to welcome me to this web site many years ago, Rudi was always involved and gave so such to us all. He was a Good man that will be missed and remembered with love. Thank you and rest in peace brother.

Re: Rudi's passing
Have had a feeling for the last few months that this was going to happen.
I have had little contact with Rudi in the last few years since he became less and less active in the forums, respecting his privacy.
Had the pleasure of meeting him at his home way back in 2004. His health at that time was good, as he was still active gathering firewood, gardening, and enjoying his Cubs and his fish pond.
He certainly gave me a lot of advice when I first joined the first boards back in 2000. I would bump into him on the the YT site and the previous Cub formats.
He was def a character. Loved to chime in. Got into a few 'online' dust-ups that were priceless.
Articulate, friendly, sarcastic, tongue in cheek, eager, precise about his manuals.
His presence has been missed for a couple years now, sad to know he won't be back on this side of glory.

Re: Rudi's passing
I'm damn sorry to hear this. I never met Rudi personally but his work and generosity on this forum has helped me greatly.
My condolences to his family.
I say I'd be lucky to have a fraction of the friends this good man earned in his lifetime.
