Hi Everyone,
My name is Eric, and my dad and I recently bought a Super C with a cultivator set. The tractor runs and idles really well, but needs more choke than I would like to keep going. We are going to grease and change/top off fluids this weekend.
I also picked up a 2 row corn planter,(that I don't have much info on, other than models it looks similar to) and will be expanding my garden with a sweet corn plot.
I'm looking forward to learning a bunch from the fine folks here on the rest of the forum!

Eric, Welcome to the Forum. It sounds like you have a fuel restriction between the tank and the carb. I'd suggest that you first remove the sediment bowl and see if the screen in clogged up. Check the inside of the gas tank to see if there is a lot of rust or debris that might also be partially clogging up the outlet into the sediment bowl. There is also a screen in the carb inlet, but that's a little more involved to get to.

The planter looks like it is from the 240/241/242 series or the 244/245/246 series. The seed hopper makes me think 244/245/246. It clearly isn't a check row planter (244) and I am not seeing any hill drop equipment (246). A drill planter would be model 245. The drill planter in the earlier series was 241. 1953 was the year they changed from the earlier series to the later.
Your Super C was built in 1951.

Thanks Bob, I had a feeling that might be my problem. I have a new screen and gasket in case I bugger the old one up.

Thank you too Jim, I have bought and recieved a 244/246 manual since they looked so similar. The guy I bought the planter from said the hoppers were the cotton seed hoppers.

Re: Hello from Beaver Dam, WI
I thought from the picture those were the later style combination hoppers. I wasn't looking for cotton hoppers in Wisconsin. If they are cotton hoppers, it may be the earlier 240/241/242 series planter. (I suspect the main difference between the two series is the hoppers.)
