New member from Louisiana
Hello to all,
My name is John and my father bought an IH Cub in 1967. It still runs well but needs a bit of body work. The rear seal is leaking and needs to be replaced. This site seems to be the place for Cub information and help and I'm sure I will need a lot of both. I've been looking around here the last few days and looks like a nice, friendly place to get help.
Since I've recently retired, I'm looking forward to rebuilding and repainting my Cub. I have a 54 Leveling Blade and a Wood's 42 Mower for it. Be prepared because I'm probably going to ask a lot of silly questions.

Re: New member from Louisiana
Thanks for the welcome. I also remembered that I have sort of tool bar looking thing that attaches under the Cub and holds discs or small plows. I don't know what you call it, but I have one set. I don't have the discs, though. I have been reading a lot of the posts here and I have already learned a lot.
Thanks for having me and I know I'll enjoy myself here.

John, we all ask silly questions. Not only that we really enjoy doing silly things. Ralph and I can explain some of that later.
Welcome to the forum and I am sure that any question you have, no matter how silly it seems to you, will be given a very good and accurate answer.
Just keep in mind, there are no dumb questions. It is all a learning experience.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I think you're right, Jim. I noticed that he doesn't live too far from my place!

Congrats on your retirement ... course now you will wonder how you ever found time to actually hold a job, cause you will find that time as a retired person is at a premium
Silly questions Nahhhhhh .... Even after all these years I still ask a few doozies.. so fear not. The only question that has any doubt to it is the question that is not asked.. all questions asked are valid and not silly or anything else either.

John,
Welcome. No silly questions here. However, there may, from time to time, be a few silly people. All in good clean fun.

Thanks for the welcomes
Harold, I saw that Gary Boutwell had a Cub show in March. Are there any others in Louisiana? I'm just getting started and I'm looking to see what it's all about.

John, Welcome from the north end of the state. At the present time Gary Boutwell is the only fest in Louisiana. Be sure to put that March date on your calendar. You are just about 38 miles from Gary.
