Some things I’ve noticed that are painted red from the factory.

Has IH plug wires. A friend told me they had the piece of tape on the plug wires from the factory. Can anyone confirm that?

It’s hard to see but the wire cover has “IH” where I circled.

Shane N. wrote:Loaded up after work and went after the 140. Took the winch, tools, gas, jumper cables, etc. Put some gas in it and pulled the truck in close enough to hook the cables up. Wound on starter for about 15-20 seconds and realized nothing was happening. I found a piece of sandpaper in the toolbox of the truck (Jim Becker will throat chop me for this) and sanded the points, I know, should have taken a file. Put cap back on and pushed starter button and it fired up. Oil pressure is good. Battery box lid looks new. 3 of the 4 original wing nuts are still intact and all 4 of the stop rods are there.

I was looking through your pictures (freaking amazing looking tractor BTW) and noticed your trailer. I've never seen a tandem axle utility trailer with little tires on it before. What's the weight rating of it?

I'm not sure what the weight rating is on that trailer. The tires are 10 ply. A friend who has since passed away was a pipe welder and he built that trailer in 1981, I have the title for it, he built it for his father in law to get watermelons on is why it is so low. I originally bought it about 17 years ago to haul 4 wheelers on when I was hunting about 3 hours away. I can load them sideways and get 3 on it. It is 6 1/2' X 12' and is one handy trailer. The welds on it were done with a stick welder and look better than most peoples mig welds. I added the ramps on the back.

Hah, okay. Was guessing it was a home-built job. Looks sturdy and useful for sure.

Hi Shane, what size front tires does your new 140 have and are they the same as your earlier acquisition? I am curious how close they are in years.
