Super A Hydraulic Gauge

Postby TWilliams » Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:26 am

I have a Super A1 that I need to replace the hydraulic heat indicator and cable. Parts diagram shows one item but the list had two items for that reference. A dipstick, #355840R91 and an Indicator, #356465R911. Do I need both? I'm also replacing the filter/screen part #355844R91, as it was stuck in place and came apart getting it out.

Partstore database appears to be down so I can't see the Super A1 listing right now. Can't see where the "dipstick" listing comes from. In any case, the 2 part numbers you list are both for a heat indicator. They interchange so you need one or the other.

Thanks for the reply Jim. I've talked to my IH parts guy and he says the gauge and cable is no longer available from IH but they carry an aftermarket one that will work. So hopefully it's on it's way along with the strainer/filter. Glad I'm not trying to restore it to original, I just want a cultivating tractor that runs and operates well.
