Good thing was I got my 140 industrial running today and on the maiden voyage it was very clear the transmission was noisy. Input bearing when still and seems like everything when moving. Drained trans and it was milky - refilled with gear oil and no real change.
My question is in overhauling these transmissions - is it better to buy a kit or replace individual bearings as needed? Are all the bearings pressed? I have now at least 2 140s that need bearings.
Noisy Transmission overhaul
