140 Water Pump

have 68 140 that needs a water pump, seems to me before I order one there was talk in the past that the aftermarket ones did not fit or had problem ? any insight on that?

Here is a past thread on what I remember. It may be what you are recalling as well.

It was about a problem with the 100/130 water pump, which is completely different than a 140 pump. If there was past talk on the 140 water pump, I don't remember it.
