Removing a Super A Radiator

Postby PoconoCub » Tue Apr 27, 2021 2:23 pm

Since I am still a Newbie when it comes to the Super A, can someone tell me how hard is it to remove the Radiator? Mine has sprung a leak and I need to get it to the Radiator Shop quickly.

Depends on how rusty the 2 mounting studs are on the bottom of the radiator. If they are OK, it isn't a hard job. If they are rusty, it can really slow you down.

I did take off the sheet metal to take a look, I will spray it down with PB Blaster tomorrow and pray a lot :)

I believe it was on this site that I saw this, "A 20 minute job is only one broken bolt away from a three day ordeal."

I hear that Bill, I didn't want to take a chance that the radiator cannot be fixed so I ordered a new one and new hoses. If the old one comes off ok I will be happy.
