Stumped on charging system farmall a

Postby Welderman2020 » Tue Aug 17, 2021 7:22 pm

Good evening everyone, just wondering if anybody has a good diagnostic rundown for the charging system for a farmall a? Still using the original 6v positive ground just can't get it to charge the battery. Went through wiring diagram everything looks to be in the right place. Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is a chart from the cub part of the forum but it will help. Most of the time it is the regulator. Clean your connections at the generator, regulator and battery. And make sure the regulator is grounded.

The original system on an A was a 6-volt, positive ground, CUT-OUT system. Use the chart tst posted.

A Super A may be a regulator system, but not an A.
