1953 Farmall Super A Rear Lift Question

Postby Jim n Eva » Wed Nov 10, 2021 11:52 am

Hello All, we recently brought home a 1953 Farmall Super A that has an unfamiliar rear lift system. Each lift arm can move independently or be pinned to act together. On the left side of the seat there are two over center levels that lock/hold each lift arm in the up position. I’ve tried searching the forum but did not locate any information. I am looking for help to identify and understand this system.

Thank you.
Jim

It is for the two-way plow (A-189).

Jim - thank you, we really appreciate the reply and information.
Now we are in the market for the rest of the two-way plow parts.

You probably have a good chance of finding the plows!

I'd hate to be the guy that has the plows and is looking for the split lift system like what have!

Makes me wonder if the plows from a C would fit. ???
Maybe someone else knows for sure!

Jim, my first call would be the person you bought the tractor from. Maybe you could trace the PO’s back and find them.
