Evening everyone,
I now have a Sickle Mower that I am trying to get back in working order. I need the spring (M1574) and Plunger (MA 1573) is there anyone who has ever tried making the plunger or bought a spring from auto parts store, if so where, who and how much?

You could try looking at Webb Cutting Components.
I looked and they don't show a M 1574 Spring. The spring in the Cub parts manual is a MA 1574.
You could check and see if that is the right part number.
They show both parts, but the picture shows the Plunger comes with the Latch it attaches to also.
Below are their listings, the parts are below the 1st line of parts, at least when I looked.
