Fast hitch blade

Postby Sterff89 » Mon Dec 27, 2021 4:51 pm

I bought this blade for myself as a Christmas present. I got it from the man I bought my Grandpa's Super A from, and had been haggling over the price for a year now. I got it for $300 along with some chains and 4 gallons of gear oil he threw in. As far as the blade goes, I have never heard of this brand (Armor Products Company). The blade can be angled and can pivot up and down. The cutting edge is worn but, I think it will be ok for now. I did take it apart and lube the adjustment pins and welded on two chain hooks. Ill take a better picture of it hooked to the tractor when I get it to our cabin. Has anyone heard of this company?

Does the cutting edge bolt onto the blade? What will you use the chain hooks for?

I believe the one I have for my Cub is an Armor. I’ll look tomorrow.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I have chain hooks like that on my 8’ blade and they are handy at times. I had these two so I figured I’d weld them on. I have used them in the past for pulling logs or pulling the tractor out when stuck. Obviously I wouldn’t want to pull too hard with them on the edge of the blade. The cutting edge is welded on. I figure I can either cut this one off or weld another one on top if need be in the future. This will go behind my 51’ Super A that has fast hitch.

I’d be careful pulling with or pulling on the blade. I’m not sure the Fast Hitch is designed for that type of use.

I have one of them. Arizona Mike has/had a rake version of it. It has been nearly 5 years since AZ Mike has posted, so who knows what he might still have.

Congratulations on the new blade. I get a lot of use out of mine. In fact I just ordered a new 6 foot blade for my 140. 5 foot blade is too narrow and the main frame is bent. It came that way and I have no idea how a 1 inch thick by 3 inch high piece of steel got bent! I tried heating it up with an acetylene torch but I could never get hot enough to bend it back

Here it is hooked up to the Super A. Looks like it will be handy to have around.
