1961 140 decal

Postby cdd » Sat Jan 22, 2022 10:09 am

Where would I find the correct information on what went on this tractor? I have looked and TM, Binder, Maple hunter but none of them state the years they would apply to. I pretty sure that is not the right hood for this either
This is still a McComick Farmall until 68 right?

that serial # is for 61 so the hood emblems I believe are correct, they were used from late 57 to 63, 64 up they were decals on the hood

That isn't even the right sheet metal for a '61. That style started at 23301 (1963). The trim was done with raised nameplates similar to that on '58-'63 Cubs.

Is there a photo somewhere of correct sheet metal and decals for this 61?

Tractor Data has a page that shows both:
https://www.tractordata.com/farm-tracto ... hotos.html

Do a google image search for "Farmall 140" and you can see plenty of pictures from various angles. Of course, that will get you pictures of both styles plus plenty of non-original tractors.
