Thank you. That looks more like it, my rad cap is missing the plate with tabs on the inside.

One think I will point out...I replaced the cap on my SA with Steiner's cap, and the underside very quickly started rusting. I don't really know if there is a better source. I was worried the rust particles, as I took it off and on, would get indide the radiator. :?

Maybe someone else has a better source?

If you need a gas cap try this… https://www.ihgascap.com/. It does take awhile to get one.

If you post them on here on farmallcub.com, they should be here for eternity.

If you post to some image hosting service, and link them to here, then your guess is as good as mine!

My pics are too big to host here.

Got a mix of marvel mystery oil and sae30 in the cylinders, cleaned and gapped the plugs, and oiled the fan bearing and starter & generator cups. About to order some filters and gaskets, and enter my info for the gas cap. Cylinder and piston crowns look good. Compression is good. I cant believe this thing has sat for so long, and everything is as nice as it is.

Thanks for all the help this far.

I use an app called Irfanview to resize photos.

Havent tested for spark yet, but gonna keep the points, 6v, and backwards connection until i have any trouble.

But a 12v neg ground system would be smarter, right? At least for plugging in a phone charger, but led lights, electric fans and water pumps? Wouldnt a conversion make all that stuff easier? The electric ignition kit for 6v backwards was more expensive, just in case.

I’m just overthinking it, for the sake of thinking about it. Like i said, if nothing is broke i wont change it yet.

Anyone with a gas A know gallons per hour when loaded? Anyone run a pto driven generator have any tips or tricks?

Would a lead substitute help if it were leaned out?

I text mine to a friend and he sends them back.

Then I can post them here! It's a pain, but works!

I made the suggestion of a automatic pic resizer ⬇️

My serial number, on the number plate under the seat, is stamped ‘FAA’ before the number, does that mean anything?

Do i include that when submiting my request for the new gascap? Or was it added later? It’s hand stamped. Crooked and deep.

Edit: i found it. Means ‘super a or a’.

Yes, I think you include that on your request.

Thanks! Its a very nice tractor. I’m waiting on an oil filter, and need to clean the inside of the fuel tank, maybe line it with something, and get a battery. I’ll be excited to get it running.
