fuel tank clean

Postby jdeere86 » Fri Apr 22, 2022 7:51 am

been reading up on cleaning the fuel tank as I look into mine and see few pieces of crud in there --- i dont' like the idea of putting pebbles in there or anything else -- also i'm a good 40 minutes to any store so wondering if i can get by with a garden hose and paint thinner as i believe i have a jug of that laying around --- any suggestions? is nice and sunny today so thought i could shoot some water in there then maybe slosh around some paint thinner and let her dry out for few hours before re mounting

any suggestions or moral support always appreciated

The tank has baffles the pebbles would have to be small. I used a high concentration of vinegar for a week.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
