Side dresser

My dad gave me a super A tractor the other day. It has been in my family for 4 generations. Asked my dad where the side dresser was, he told me that since he had not used in a while so he traded it for 3 bushels of sweet potatoes. How hard is it to find a New” side dresser? Thanks

Sorry to hear your Pop traded away the side dresser for your super A.

They are out there, you'll just have to look. Places like craigslist, face book market place, auctions, etc!

I'm new to the group and have recently bought a140 after a long time looking for one that didn't need a complete overhaul. I got a lot of implements with the tractor but no planter or side dresser. Does anyone know model numbers of the duplex planter/fertilizer? I've got an old Lester 71 (I think) planter that needs a hopper. Information and parts of it are turning out to be hard to find so I'd rather just search for a duplex setup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those distributor complete setups are getting hard to find. I found a brand new Powell setup that has all of the components the IH has. The hopper is almost double the size. I also have a complete double hopper IH setup I got with my newer 140.
