Been needing a choke rod for the AV for some time now. Had bought a 3/16” x 48” rod a while back, but other projects got ahead in the queue. Had a bag with leftover brackets and parts (everyone has those, right?) and found a suitable angle bracket with holes already drilled. Put in a rubber grommet and ready to drill the cotter pin hole and bend it.
Used a scrap piece of pipe the right size for the pull end.
Cut it to fit, sanded down the rough spots, then primed and painted it.
Got it installed today. Works great and I can use the choke now from the operator’s seat to start the engine instead of standing alongside.
All Choked Up
