I am using a woods 60-4 tow behind pto driven mower with my 140. I was thinking about moving the extension on the drawbar closer to the PTO to reduce the angle on the U joints and hopefully make turning easier on the drive line.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Off setting the mower extension on draw bar?

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Yes, put the extension as far to the left as possible.
