This is one thing that has always bugged me. Someone must have gotten a welder for Christmas. Why not put the fix to the inside?
At least they were consistent. They did it on both sides.

That is why angle grinders were created! You could pretty that up or live with it like the bent up front grill of mine. I could buy the tool sets to rehab the grill on ebay but I would rather put the $80 somewhere else.
