Super C vs C

Postby Hairy Moose Knuckles » Wed May 01, 2019 7:32 pm

I found a Farmall C about an hour away. I haven't went to look at it yet though. I was wondering if any of the parts are interchangeable.

I know mine has 11.2 x 36 tires and a C has 9.0 x 36, but would the wheels interchange.

I thought maybe if I opted to buy it, I could use my Super as a parts tractor.

I do realize the engines are different.

For all I know they might be night and day differences.

Biggest thing is disk brakes, taller radiator and factory water pump on the Super C. Lots of stuff should swap but the parts book will be your friend.
If you get the C, check the date on the hydraulic box. I'm looking for an early one with a Q date code.

Yeah, like Al said. Taller radiator means taller grill and I think different hood. Disk brakes and some internal transmission differences that you will probably never see. If the engine has been overhauled, it may have oversize pistons. You could swap the C engine into the Super C. Use the bolt-on stuff from the Super C engine. If the C engine has been oversized, you will essentially have a Super C engine.
