Just wondering what is the best way to go about tightening up the rear wheels so they don't wobble back and forth as your are driving?

Are all the blots tight on the center to the wheel. I had that happen. They worked loose.

There should be no special procedures needed. Maybe you rims do not fit the centers properly, I’ve seen that a few times, it required a little grinding to get them properly seated.

I just noticed that you are probably referring to you 300, my comment above probably does not apply. Since the 300 rim is held on by wedges, you may be able to adjust your tightening procedure, with the tractor jacked up, to get them to run true. Used to have to do that with truck wheels.

Wobble front to rear of the tractor, or side to side? Probably side to side.

Check the rim itself for out of round or slight twist. Then check the tire for out of round or slight twist.

Jack up wheel. Dial indicator to check for wobble or out of round.

Or bent axle.

The wobble is side to side. I'll jack up the tractor and check.

Way back when I went to college in Indianola, Iowa. Lot of local folks worked at the Des Moines Firestone Tire manufacturing plant. All the workers installed "factory seconds" on their cars. Seconds are/were also sold by retailers.

Nothing wrong with seconds, safe. May be a blemish or with tractor tires, tread slightly off center.
