Best way to jack up front end of 300
Going to pull the tires to repack the bearings and repaint the wheels and stuff. I have an engine hoist, If I thought the strap around the frame behind the wheels and lift then slide to jack stands under that does that sound ok/safe?

I drive forward so that one tire is on a 2x4 and the other is off the ground. Then repeat for the other side. There are UTubes showing this. I replaced and repacked both my tires this way

Prevent the tractor from rolling when you jack it up and either way will work fine. Jack stands are a plus, I use solid blocking, just be sure the area is level to keep the blocking/jackstands from tilting. Driving up on a block to elevate so one wheel is off the ground will work will work fine if your tractor is tricycle front (obviously).

No need to jack anything. Follow ajhbike's recommendation.

Thanks, I was going to do the 2x4 method but decided i'd rather take both off at the same time so I can paint everything at once. Why I was wanting to jack it up.

If you have an engine hoist, put a sling strap around it just behind the pedestal and raise it pu, then put some blocks jsut below the pedestal so that if the hoist sinks it will rest on the blocks. If you pull the front hood off you could just put the strap around the upper part of the bolster. Only takes about 6 bolts to remove it, or maybe 4 bolts, don't remember with out looking.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Yeah the hood and all the sheet metal is off as I repainted it and I do have an engine hoist.
