Farmall B narrow and wide difference

Postby maxsams9 » Fri Aug 21, 2020 8:41 pm

Hello,
What is the difference in the narrow B and Wide B other than being wider? What is the purpose of the wider one. Anything special about either of them?

Thank you.

The only difference is 8 inches of overall width.

The B came first and was produced to have a row crop cultivision tractor. The BN then was added to the lineup, and as mentioned is 8 inches narrower (4 inches each axle). It was made for those farmers who had narrower rows of crops.

The bn axle housings are the same as the right side axle housing on the A, super A, 100, 130, and 140.

The bn also shares the same platform with the A, super A, 100, 130, and 140 too!

Same over-all dimensions, not the same parts.
