I appreciate everyone’s perspective. I gave the machinist the spec (printed the page in the service manual) when I dropped the parts off. They have an excellent reputation. I’m in good hands.

Yes, machine shop rates are pretty pricey, these days. Around here, though, machine shops are few and far between and they don't all do quality work.
