leaky steering spindle

I noticed the B starting leaking gear oil down the pedestal last winter before I started the rebuild. I have to admit, I'm a little tired of maintenance after the complete engine rebuild, so I'm not crazy about tearing the front end apart right now. I'm probably 8 hours of work from having it running now!
I can't immediately see a good reason not to just pump it full of corn head grease and call it good. What do ye experts say?
Maybe next winter I can tear it apart if my farmer fix bugs me.

Obviously, that's not the correct way to fix a leak but you already know that. A lot of people have bought time with corn head grease so I think you will be forgiven.
