46 BN battery box

Postby randyrothe » Sat Jun 18, 2022 5:37 pm

I need to replace the battery box on my BN. It has a 12 volt system, so a Group 24 or Group 35 battery. What battery box would fit one of these batteries, and where would be the best place to purchase one? It looks like it was cut to accept the 12 v battery. I'd like to keep the same bracket placement.

Do you really have to have a battery box?? Have run mine for years with just the base - also converted to 12 V! Was always a battle for access! Unless you are worried about the "correct police" or are trying to do an original restoration, just a waste of money in mtcw!
