Farmall M engine suffix code
So If I had an M and the engine serial number read for example 12345 X9, what would the X9 mean?

Re: Farmall M engine suffix code
I'm not aware of an X9 code for an engine number. X9 on a serial number means it has high speed gears.
The serial number is on a plate riveted to the bell housing. The engine number is stamped directly into the engine block.
