Looking for a loader for my 1961 560 gas, wide front, straight drawbar.

Any suggestions? Mainly using it to move snow. Other material as well.

Looking at a mount o matic 2355...would this work or too big?

Thanks!

We had a 2350 loader on a 560 on the farm for many years.

IIRC, the 2355 is basically the same loader, with the arms spaced wider so it would fit on the 3088, 3288, 3488, 3688 IH tractors with their wider hoods.

It's about the biggest loader you'd want on that tractor. We did have problems with broken frame rails.

If the loader comes with the standard brackets, you need 1" of spacer between the frame rail and the loader bracket. The front holes line up with existing holes in the bolster, but there are no holes that line up for the rear brackets on the frame rails.

I would recommend that you do NOT drill holes in the frame rails as recommend in the instructions. Rather, build a bridge plate that bolts between the three holes on the side of the bell housing and the rearmost holes in the frame rails. Make it from 1/2" plate, and then place 1/2" spacers underneath the bolt holes to get the proper width. Then you can locate the rear brackets on the bridge plates and weld them or bolt them as you see fit.

Our 560 had the bridge plates for the rear mounting brackets. The advantage is that it spreads the force from the loader out across the frame and the bell housing.
