1929 Farmall Regular Save

Postby PVF1799 » Tue Mar 17, 2020 5:55 pm

So, Dad's regular that came to the farm when he was 10 in 1929 - Had a nice engine job and we used it often. Then we lost mom and dad in 11 months so it sat. The number three cylinder rusted and now it's stuck. So here's the plan as advised by a local old timer. I took the plug out, made a mixture of 4 ounces of Kano Kroil with 4 ounces of WD-40. That's now in the cylinder, the plug is in easy. The crank is on and there is up pressure using a high-lift jack. We'll keep y'all posted on what happens.

Any other suggestions that don't involve disassembling at least not right now?

Pictures? I love the older Farmalls, the Regular, the F-series, etc. I hope you get this thing going, but unfortunately I don't have any sage advice.
