782D model tag discrepancy

782D model tag discrepancy

I have what I “think” is a 1984 782D. It has 782d decals and is red but the serial number plaque has model# 144882399. Shouldn’t the middle 3 digits read 782? :help: :tractor: :thanx:

Tractordata.com lists the 782D as a red variant of the yellow/white 882 and vice versa. So maybe they used the same serial number sequence.
