1A tiller right hand drive
Hi fellas, It's been a while since I've posted. Has anyone experienced a bevel gear moving out of alignment inside of the RH gear box for a 1A tiller? I'm not certain how it moved but it wasn't real snug on the shaft so I tried to stake in place but it moved again. What's strange is it was working great and I finished tilling, but when I took the tiller off the tractor I noticed the gears were no longer engaged. I looking for ideas on how to repair it. Thanks in advance - Ray

If the gears aren’t engaged something moved. Did the shaft walk out?

Here’s the 1a but no exploded view of the 90 degree box.

I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Hi Bill, Thanks for responding. The shafts seem to be intact but the one bevel gear is moving out of position, I believe it's supposed to be a press fit. I that's the case I'll have to machine a new shaft for it.
