I am wanting to add wheel weights on my 1450. I plan on loading the wheels also but I am wondering how much weight is safe for the hydro? Any guidance on a safe max weight would be appreciated.

Wheel weights have minimal impact to the drive system. How much weight? Depends on the job.
Mowing = No Weights
Snowplowing = Max Weight
Breaking ground = double weights on the uphill (typically left) side

Fifty to a hundred pounds on each tire wouldn't hurt.

Thanks, I will be doing plowing and clearing with it. I was thinking 100lbs a side plus loaded tires. I have heard people adding 200lbs or more a side and thought that may be a little excessive.

Is traction a problem?
You can load the rear tires plus add wheel weights.

I have four weights on my cc70 right now and have four more to add, but it’s a work horse pulling a trailer with 1/3 rd of a cord of firewood. I just did the clutch and springs. Plus I doze with it. A weight cement box on a Reese style hitch is another thought.

Traction hopefully won't be an issue. I just ordered 23x10.5-12 ag tires and plan on loading them. The weight is because I'm going to be doing mostly ground engaging activities. Like plowing and grading.

I’m running the ag tires on the rear with more chevrons and the three rib tires on the front on my cc100/creeper tilling. She powers through freshly tilled soil with no wheel weights.

Correction I’m running 29”-12:50-15” tru power rear tire. I cut and welded 10” wide x 15” Jeep rims to fcub rim centers. I drilled the rim centers for suburban weights.
