There is nothing "rare" about it. It is a common 104 that been modified by a PO to include a hydraulic system from another brand of tractor, although IH offered one similar, and a single headlight rather than the optional IH light package. Anything rare about it is only in the eye of the beholder.............and the individual selling it.

If its going really cheap I may bid on it? I can use all the goodies somewhere....But i have one dumb question? What does the extra hydro pump do there doesn't seem to be anything hydraulic there?

Why not phone the owner and ask him? his phone number is listed. He may even tell you what the reserve is and that may not be cheap on RARE CYCLOPS 104

The add on hydro pump is for deck lift, makes it hydraulic rather than manual.

What a waste of work just to lift the deck only. He should of ran the hydraulics to the rear so he would have the dump trailer run by the hydraulics too. If you have hydraulics use it to the max and power everything we can thats what I would do.

BTW; If you look at the clutch disc closely you can see the clutch material on both sides of a metal disc in the center of the two clutch materials. Is that the orginal IH clutch disc? My 70 cadet has the same laminated disc with the steel center. My 122 cadet has the solid fiber disc with the drive holes wearing slots in it because there's no steel center disc. The new clutch disc i just purchased is also the one piece solid fiber disc too. I don't think the one piece solid discs will last and the laminated discs with the steel in the center will last longer. I guess i'm either going to make these steel centered laminated discs or try to get them from my local IH dealer if i can find one.

The replacements or the disc available now are the laminated disc, unless the dealer had on older one on the shelf, but there is nothing wrong with the solid disc (thats what came on the tractor), there are plenty of them still working 40 some years after being originally installed. The clutch drive pin holes will wear or elongate in the solid disc after a lot of years use, but the steel center in the laminated disc will wear the drive pins, so it is a trade off. Putting a new disc in once in 40 years is not bad.

The only steel dics Ive run across had clutch material "pucks" bonded to it. It is a high performance unit costing about $100. We have made aluminum center plates by copying the fiber disc on a 1/4 aluminum plate. Fantastic "grab" off the line, but you old hot rodders can probably remeber the drawbacks to "suicide" clutches. Best bet for normal use- regular stock clutch. Frank

My 100 cadet has a alumimum disc in the clutch and it really bites when i let the clutch up. One time it almost threw me off the seat.

The reserve is $350 on the ebay cadet...

Another Cyclops spotting!

Hey all!

There is yet another cyclops on ebay! It's not listed that way, so maybe the owner doesn't know what he has!

Poor thing, looks like someone beat the *&^% out of it.

Looks like it had the same previous owner as my recent 109 purchase. The guy literally welded the metal shell of a seat to the springs. When I pulled the seat cushion off I found that it has holes that lined up with the factory springs but he still welded it on. The only thing I can think of is that he had welding rods but no bolts.
Freedom is for those that claim it.

Nice hood hinges to boot. I would run not walk away from a slightly smoking KT17 Kohler. Big $$ to rebuild
